Biography:
Robert Covey was born during the
1950's in the rural farm
country
of Minnesota and educated in the public school system. During his childhood many of his favorite things to do was swim in the waters of the Blue Earth River and hike the many river trails that follow its banks. After high school he volunteered for induction into the United States Navy achieving the rank of Aviation Electronics Tech 3rd Class and traveled to Guam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, and served two tours in the Vietnam Conflict at Danang NAS during 1969 and 1970.
After his tour of duty he went back to Minnesota and graduated from Mankato State University with a B.A. in Psychology, minor in Sociology. Among other educational pursuits he also earned a degree in Graphic Communications from Mankato Area Vo-Tech.
His career pursuits have included teaching, graphic artist and screen printing businesses, real estate brokerage, architect and builder. Hobbies include writing poetry and other things, playing guitar - attempting piano, photography and website design, traveling and changing careers. He's the father of four wonderful children.
